Highway subgrade is the fundamental structure of highway engineering, and the construction quality of the subgrade directly affects the bearing capacity, service life, and traffic safety of highways. Subgrade construction involves complex technologies, including earthwork excavation and filling, compaction, soft foundation treatment, drainage, and slope protection, making quality control difficult. This paper focuses on quality control measures for subgrade construction technology in highway engineering, systematically analyzes the importance of subgrade construction quality control, and reviews the main construction technologies, including subgrade earthwork excavation and filling, compaction construction, soft soil foundation treatment, drainage, and slope protection. From the perspectives of raw material quality, construction technology and operation, construction management, and personnel factors, the influencing factors of subgrade construction quality are analyzed. On this basis, specific measures are proposed, including process control for filling and compaction construction, quality control of soft foundation treatment and drainage systems, construction machinery allocation, and process monitoring. The construction quality of highway subgrade plays an important role in ensuring subgrade strength and stability. By analyzing problems arising during construction and proposing technical treatment measures, this study provides a reference for subgrade construction. The research findings can provide a basis for quality control in highway subgrade construction.
