Zhongfeng Xue, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Licensed Pharmacist. He serves as a member of the Basic Theory Committee of Chinese Materia Medica under the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and as a council member of the LiMedicine Branch of the China Association of Ethnic Medicine. He is also a memberof the editorial board for Herbal Medicine Cultivator, organized by the NationalAdministration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a contributor to the book seriesAutophagy: Cancer, Other Pathologies, Inflammation, Immunity, Infection, and Aging.His academic work focuses primarily on teaching courses such as Food Toxicologyand Biochemistry, as well as on the research and development of food–medicinehomologous foods. He received the Second Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Scienceand Technology Award in 2015 and the Third Prize of the Science and TechnologyAward of the China Association of Chinese Medicine in 2017. He has led five researchprojects, including those funded by the Provincial Natural Science Foundation, holdsseven invention patents, and has published more than 30 academic papers.
